Pricing

There are four ways you can pay for DaDesktop:

1. Public cloud (from 3 EUR a day)
2. Private server (from 10 EUR a day)
3. Reseller or volume purchasing (from 0.1 EUR a day)
4. On premise
    

Public Cloud

Desktops are charged per day, starting from 3 EUR a day for a simple Linux desktop with 8GB of RAM, an 8-core CPU, and 50GB of SSD storage.

Each additional block of 8GB of RAM, 8 CPU cores, and 50GB of storage costs you an extra 3 EUR.

Windows machines come with an additional charge of 1 EUR per day. If you hold your own license, this fee is waived.

NB: The daily charge for machines is calculated within a 24-hour window starting from midnight, according to the local server time.

 

Private Server

If you prefer a fixed cost regardless of how many desktops you run or the resources assigned to a single desktop, you can opt to purchase an entire server.

In this scenario, the only limit is the server's resources – not the number of units or desktops you create.

Reseller or Volume Discounts

Discounts of up to 80% are available for reseller and volume purchases.

This is typically suited for companies planning to:

1. Integrate DaDesktop with your own product
2. Resell the service
3. Buy in high quantities 
    

On-Premise

The standard rate for an on-premise deployment is 6 EUR per core.

 

Public Cloud Case Scenarios

Case 1

A person uses an Ubuntu desktop with 8GB RAM, 8 CPUs, and 50GB of storage for 8 hours within one day. 

Total price: 3 EUR

Case 2

A person uses an Ubuntu desktop with 8GB RAM, 8 CPUs, and 50GB of storage for a couple of hours daily over 5 days. 

Total price: 5 days * 3 EUR = 15 EUR

Case 3

1. A person uses an Ubuntu desktop with 8GB RAM, 8 CPUs, and 50GB of storage for 1 hour.
2. The desktop is then deleted.
3. Another desktop with the same configuration is created on the same day and used for 1 hour.

Total price: 3 EUR

Case 4

1. A person uses an Ubuntu standalone desktop with 8GB RAM, 8 CPUs, and 50GB of storage for 1 hour.
2. That desktop is deleted.
3. Another desktop with 16GB RAM, 16 CPUs, and 100GB of storage is created on the same day and used for 1 hour.

2 machines are used, each with a different configuration spec:

Machine 1 = 3 EUR

Machine 2 = 6 EUR

Total price: 3 + 6 = 9 EUR

Case 5

1. A person uses an Ubuntu course desktop with 8GB RAM, 8 CPUs, and 50GB of storage for 1 hour.
2. That desktop is deleted.
3. Another desktop used by the same participant or trainer with 16GB RAM, 16 CPUs, and 100GB of storage is created on the same day and used for 1 hour.

Total price: 6 EUR 

 

Courses

For Public Cloud and Reseller options, Courses are billed to the Organization Owner based on the users who created desktops during the course's duration.

Trainers

• If a Trainer is invited to a course, the Organization Owner is billed for that course.
• If the Trainer creates the course, the Trainer is billed for it.

• To summarize, the Organization Owner of the course created receives the bill for the course.
