Recycle Bin
Once a course wraps up, all associated machines—Fresh Start, Trainer, and every Participant device—are automatically removed after a brief delay.
We've introduced a feature that lets you retrieve these machines from the 'Recycle Bin' for some time after they disappear from the course. How long they remain recoverable isn't fixed; it depends on factors like server disk space, overall course activity, and so on. That said, you can normally expect to be able to restore machines for at least a couple of months after the course finishes.
You can Restore any machine directly back to its course if that course still exists; otherwise, you have the option to Restored to a Standalone Desktop, or Delete it entirely if you prefer.

The Recycle Bin icon gives you a quick status check. When it appears black, restorable machines are waiting; if it's greyed out, the bin is empty and nothing can be brought back.
You can also filter the list of machines sitting in the recycle bin by name, server name, or course name.

Restoring or Deleting Machines from the Recycle Bin
- Restore - Choose this to return a machine to the course it originally belonged to. If that course has already ended, you won't be able to restore it there, and it can only be revived as a Standalone machine (explained next).
- Restore to Standalone Desktop - This comes in handy when a course is finished and direct restoration isn't possible. Turning it into a Standalone machine offers more flexibility since it stays active for as long as you need.
- Delete - Select this to permanently remove a machine from the Recycle Bin. Once deleted, it cannot be recovered.
- Empty Recycle Bin - Clicking the red Empty Recycle Bin button wipes out every machine in the bin, and they'll be gone for good.
