Modifying Disk, CPU, and Memory

Trainers can adjust the resources that were initially set up for a Fresh-Start Desktop. This comes in handy when you realize the course calls for more CPU, memory, or storage to handle extra programs or software.

Before you change these values, the Fresh-Start desktop must be stopped. Click the gear icon and select either “Stop” or “Force-Stop” to shut it down.

With the desktop halted, you can now resize the assigned resources. Open the gear icon and go to advanced > Resize (ram, cpu, disk).

After selecting that option, a Resize form appears where you can re-allocate the CPU, RAM, or Storage your desktop needs. The form shows the upper limit for each one.

Keep in mind that these adjustments affect the desktop’s cost, but it’s best to allocate enough so your course runs without issues.
