Achieving Better Connection Performance
DaDesktop might alert you if it detects high latency (delay) that could affect performance.
If that happens, use the steps below to improve your connection here in Italy.

Steps to take
- If you can, connect via Ethernet. Otherwise, if you're on Wi‑Fi, run an internet speed test beforehand—for instance, at speedtest.net—to check your speed.
- Stay as close as possible to the wireless access point. Whenever you can, use the 5 GHz Wi‑Fi band instead of 2.4 GHz, because 2.4 GHz tends to be slower and is more prone to interference.
- Turn off or disable any VPNs or proxies before joining the course.
- Where possible, turn off any security software that might interfere with your network connection, since these can sometimes impact speed and increase latency.
-
If your network is subject to content filtering or other restrictions, consider reaching out to your company's IT support for help.
Whitelisting the following domains can help :-
1. https://*.npg.io (eg any host at .npg.io )
2. https://dd4t.dadesktop.com - Avoid large downloads or uploads while the course is in progress. For instance, postpone any Windows, Mac, or Linux updates until after the session.
-
Your internet speed should be faster than: "10 Mbps download & 1 Mbps upload"
