DaDesktop: Supported CPU Architectures – ARM and AMD64
DaDesktop offers full support, validated through automated build testing, for the following CPUs:
Intel and AMD x86 (AMD64)
AMD Processors
- Zen 2 (EPYC 7002, Ryzen) from AMD
- Zen 3 (EPYC 7003, Ryzen) from AMD
- Zen 4 (EPYC 9004, Ryzen) from AMD
- Zen 5 (engineering samples, qualification samples) from AMD
Some of our customers continue to use Zen 1 (EPYC 7001) systems.
Intel Processors
- Xeon E3, E5, E7 (Haswell architecture, v3 or newer)
- Xeon Scalable
- Core i5, i7, i9 (Haswell generation or newer)
Older Xeon Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge (Xeon E3, E5, E7) models appear to work well, though they aren't part of our automated test suite.
ARM Processors
- AWS Graviton 1 through Graviton 4
- Ampere® Altra® Q80-30 and later
- Kunpeng 920 and newer
Most other CPUs, including Apple Silicon, operate without issues. Reach out to our technical support team if you'd like to evaluate your specific hardware.
RISC-V
RISC-V should perform well, though we haven't carried out extensive testing yet.
