Course VPN
The Course VPN (CVPN) feature lets desktops connect directly to one another.
It replaces the "Turn off network isolation" option. When network isolation was disabled, communication was restricted to desktops on the same server—cross-server or data centre connectivity wasn’t possible.
Course VPN, however, enables any desktop added to a specific course to communicate, regardless of which server or data centre hosts them.
This capability is available for Ubuntu and Windows 10 operating systems only. For other systems, you can still use "Turn off network isolation".
Below are terminal screenshots showing the CVPN interface as observed from the terminal, along with some extra properties of the connected interface.
Terminal IPs:
These screenshots display the VPN network interface created when training workstations are provisioned. You’ll see two student workstation terminals showing the `edge0` network interface, which represents the course VPN.
